DSP Firmware files contain the “loudspeaker specific” DSP settings for individual Renkus-Heinz loudspeakers: EQ, Crossover (if applicable), protection settings, meter calibration, etc. These files are loaded into each RHAON loudspeaker’s amplifier at the factory.

Since these files may be updated time to time to either improve overall performance or to add new RHAON features, we recommend occasionally checking these files to make sure you are using the latest versions in your RHAON program and in the loudspeaker amplifiers. Typically these files are installed under C:Program FilesRenkus-HeinzRHAONDSP_Firmware.

DSP Firmware files are also needed to reprogram loudspeaker amplifiers, if you want to move an amplifier one loudspeaker model to another.

Microcontroller Firmware files contain the programming for the microprocessor that runs in conjunction with the CobraNet DSP to operate RHAON empowered loudspeaker amplifiers.
